Dear JHS 118 Community,

It is with great honor and excitement that I write you this letter of introduction as the new Interim Acting Principal of 10X118. It is truly a privilege to have the opportunity to serve a community of such great students, parents and educators. I have dedicated over 20 years to the field of education. My educational experience includes being a paraprofessional, middle school math teacher, math coach, lead teacher and Administrator of Student Support in the NYCDOE. I look forward to dedicating my time and skills to best serve the 10X118 Community.

As we embark on the upcoming school year, I look forward to working in partnership with all stakeholders to ensure our students feel safe and supported in an environment where they will become lifelong learners. With the support of parents, teachers, support staff and the Administrative Team, I am confident we will have a successful school year where students feel safe and are engaged in work that is academically challenging and rewarding.

Communication will be the key to success. Please remember that my door is always open for you. Throughout the summer months, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns via email [email protected]

Please note that school administrators and guidance counselors are currently housed at M.S. 391 through August 12 during summer school.

Thank you for this amazing opportunity. I look forward to meeting you personally, as we begin the new school year. Please enjoy the rest of the summer.

Best,

Carmen Felix
