# Math

JHS 118’s Mathematics department will use the Priority Learning Standards and protocols as a foundation for vocabulary instruction, solving word problems, and making our thinking visible to Bridge the Gap in Mathematics. Our department will challenge each student to develop and extend mathematical proficiency through a comprehensive curriculum, strong mathematics teaching, and assessments that meet the learning needs of each student. In meeting the demands of our changing world, the mathematics curriculum and teachers will prepare students to think critically and digitally, problem solve, communicate, and collaborate.
